Hi! I’m Kela – owner and lead strategist here at Opal Star Digital!
With years of working in small businesses and entrepreneurs and a Master’s Degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin, I started Opal Star Digital with a mission to help small businesses and entrepreneurs thrive on social media by helping to make it less overwhelming.

The Birth of Opal Star
Growing up I had the pleasure to dream, and I mean truly dream of all the things I wanted to be when I grew up. One person in particular really impacted why Opal Star Digital is here today, my dad.
He was an entrepreneur and I was his little assistant. Constantly, we came up with invention ideas and sketched them out. When his business grew while I was in high school, I would work with him helping him to increase his sales and outputs.
I fell in love with visual design in middle school and carried that passion all the way to now. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Advertising, with a minor in Business from THE University of Texas at Austin, where the slogan is “What Starts Here Changes the World.” And Opal Star Digital is my first step in making that line come true.
I wrote my Thesis on the Challenges of Black Entrepreneurs and in this study my need to help grew. My research coupled with working in digital marketing, advertising, event planning, and sales makes Opal Star Digital a great choice for you and your business.
